Under direction of the IT Manager, assists in managing the computing needs of the Food Chain administrative cluster and its supported academic departments of Animal Science and Nutrition. Configure and maintain servers, firewalls, disaster recovery infrastructure, system/network security, SaaS, automations, and related documentation. Assists with migration projects, software licensing, endpoint management, security reviews, and vendor risk assessments. Provide tier 3 support for hardware and software for labs, facilities, conference rooms, and classrooms. Works with the IT manager in architecting information systems to meet the needs of the Food Chain Cluster and its supported academic departments. Participates in cluster, college, and campus IT committees related to IT needs of the cluster.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

2 years of experience as systems administrator in an environment with at least 200 systems and 200 users.
MacOS systems administration and Windows systems administration including Active Directory, Group Policy, and Intune, and Hyper-V. pfSence firewall administration.
Experience with Server and server rack hardware including Dell Servers, switching, RAID, SAN, NAS, & UPS.
Experience Supporting A/V systems, IP cameras, videoconference systems, and other A/V equipment.
Experiencing managing data for system administration projects
Developing compensating controls for systems or business processes that are not able to meet prescribed security requirement.
Automation via scripting.
Analyze complex data and develop solutions to specific problems and gather related information from diverse sources to identify problems.
Preferred Qualifications
Five years' experience as lead network/system administrator in an environment with at least 200 systems and 200 users. Experience providing IT services in an academic environment with laboratories with scientific equipment.
Experience supporting scientific computing including data collection and analysis.
Experience writing PowerShell automation scripts using modules and accessing APIs.
Experience Managing cloud-based systems and services in Azure or AWS.
Experience supporting Zoom and Zoom Rooms.
Linux systems administration.

Work Environment
