Forward Thinking Designs is seeking Q-SYS control programmers to join our awesome team. Duties and Responsibilities
The Creator performs a wide range of duties including some or all of, but not limited to the following:
Customer Management: Maintain excellent communication with clients, understanding their needs, and providing top-notch support throughout the project lifecycle.
Programming Expertise: Utilize your proficiency in multiple platforms, including but not limited to Q-SYS, AMX, Crestron, Medialon, Alcorn McBride, and Kramer, to create customized AV control solutions.
GUI Design: Develop intuitive and visually appealing graphical user interfaces (GUIs) that enhance the end-user experience using CSS and HTML.
Remote Commissioning: Take charge of remote commissioning tasks, ensuring that all systems are fully functional and meeting the client's expectations.
Independent Project Management: Manage projects independently, from initiation to completion, while adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
Effective Communication: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate client interactions and collaborate effectively with team members.
Self-Motivation: Thrive in a remote work environment, demonstrating self-motivation, organization, and a strong work ethic.
Multi-Tasking: Excel in multitasking and exhibit professional responsibility to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Additional Responsibilities: Willingly undertake any other responsibilities as assigned by the organization to contribute to the overall success of the team and projects.
Preferred
Self-starter and requires little direct oversight to perform tasks
AVIXA CTS-I or CTS-D
Field installation and/or system design experience
Knowledge or familiarity with broadcast or hybrid conference/live event systems
Ability to commission and troubleshoot using only a virtual connection to the system with onsite support
Limitations and Disclaimer
It should be understood that there will be times that work will fall outside of the normal work days and hours. In the entertainment field, it is common for projects to open or operate on weekends or holidays. Theme parks and other entertainment venues may wish to minimize down time, venues may not be available, or deadlines may require working odd or night hours. While efforts are taken to minimize these occurrences, they are unavoidable and do occur, especially when on a job site. The above job description is meant to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
Experienced in crafting solutions using the following tools: Lua, Node.JS, JavaScript
3-5 years of experience in AV Control system programming
Able to concisely, consistently, and appropriately communicate with the project team
Ability to troubleshoot basic and complex AV and network systems
Knowledgeable about major DSP platforms, such as Q-SYS, BSS, Media Matrix, Biamp, and Symmetrix
Knowledgeable about major media servers, such as BrightSign, Picturall, Disguise, and 7th Sense
