The AV Coordinator is responsible for providing audio visual equipment support for classes, meetings and special events held on the Seton Hall's Law School campus. The AV Coordinator works with and provides training to Faculty and other members of the university community on using the in-room technology or other audio visual resources available on the campus. The AV Coordinator is responsible for upkeep and inventory of the AV Technology installed in rooms or equipment that is available for loan.
This position is Monday through Friday, 8am – 4pm
Some over time is required for mission critical events and or other high level events.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintenance/Repairs: Perform preventative maintenance and/or repairs to audio visual equipment that is installed in classrooms and conference rooms.
Coordinate AV Technology inventory and delivery setup: Maintain audio visual equipment inventory and track equipment delivered throughout campus. Coordinate activities of and supervise student technology assistants. Deliver and recover AV equipment around campus as necessary.
Training/Service: Provide continuous and ongoing training to student technology assistants, Faculty, as well as all users of the technology installed in all academic spaces. Assist in and operate AV equipment in support of events.
Clerical: Perform clerical duties, including but not limited to: answering the telephone, taking reservations and keeping schedules. Assist Media Services clients with requests for services, updating Service Tickets using the University approved software.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Working knowledge of projection systems, sound, video, audio and recording in academic and event spaces.
Desired Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience in the Audio visual field and in an educational setting
Experience using Crestron Control, Extron Control systems, Microsoft Teams
CTS Certificaton or Vocational/technical Education

Staff Union (Local 153) - SU16.0
