The Associate Director of Media Services in the Stanford Graduate School of Business seeks an AV Systems Engineer. The AV Systems Engineer will work in support of the day-to-day technical operations of the GSB campus and assist in the refresh / improvement of the AV systems throughout. The AV Systems Engineer also supports faculty requests, assists with class and event recordings, and provides AV programming and break/fix support as needed.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the mission of the GSB, be directly involved in the technology refresh of the entire Business School campus, and work closely with world renowned faculty on a day-to-day basis.
Please Note: This position requires regular, on-site work at the Stanford GSB campus, but a full-time on-campus presence may not be required for this role.
Your primary responsibilities include
Provide support to the day-to-day operation of the classrooms, conference rooms, and event spaces within the GSB for all AV issues
Provide technical support for live events / recordings as needed
Work directly with faculty to consult and assist with technical consultations and questions. Assess target audience business requirements to determine learning and performance support needs
Provides quality control checks for installations to ensure that industry and GSB standards are being met
Maintain existing / iterate on GSB processes, to include; engineering and drawing standards, engineering procedures, product and vendor recommendations, and project lifecycle
Monitor networked hardware for stability and proper configuration
Identify chronic problems and develop solutions/repairs
To be successful in this position, you will bring
Bachelor's degree and five years relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
Experience with programming AV systems - Crestron NVX / Simpl programming / VC-4 knowledge
Demonstrated experience in management of projects, including project planning, scheduling, tracking, and budgeting.
Strong communication skills to effectively educate internal and external audiences.
Strong customer service skills to assist end users when needed.
Strong analytical skills to review and assess complex financial information; Experience building and maintaining spreadsheets.
Comfort with technology and data management.
In addition, preferred requirements include:
Crestron Master Programmer (silver or better)
Biamp / QSC certification
Avixa CTS, CTS-D, and/or CTS-I
