The Academic Technology Support Supervisor leads a subteam of the Academic Technology Support team within ITS Client Services. This position and their team is responsible for overseeing end user support of technology used for academic collaboration and ensuring a consistent experience for the campus community. Supported technologies include classroom audio/visual technology, computer labs, web and video conferencing, student printing, student personal devices, and other physical or online tools for collaboration (eg cameras, Microsoft Teams). The Academic Technology Support Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that existing technology and services are utilized well, and that emerging technology and services are researched, selected, and introduced to benefit the academic efforts of the university.
Essential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
Lead team of student staff in providing technology support for faculty, staff and students while providing a high level of efficiency and client satisfaction. Responsible for technology needs of over 300 classrooms, 9 residential halls, 16 general use computer labs, and various other collaborative spaces.
Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of staff. Facilitate a collaborative and inclusive environment with cross-training and continuous staff development.
Create and manage projects related to the implementation of new services, the improvement of existing services, and the exploration of new technology.
Manage relationships with other departments across campus and vendors to serve as an escalation point for service issues.
Ensure that accurate analytics are gathered to evaluate the efficiency and utilization of technology and services provided.
Write policies and procedures, create and implement standards and service agreements.

Audio-visual technology (Extron) knowledge.
Mac and Windows operating system and software support knowledge.
Enterprise print management (Papercut) knowledge.
Web and video conference technology (Zoom/MS Teams) knowledge.
Computer lab management (KeyServer) knowledge.
Learning Management System knowledge (Canvas).
