We are Solomon Group, an award-winning leader in AV Systems Integration, Exhibit Fabrication, and Live Event Production based in New Orleans, LA and Orlando, FL.  We are a live experiences studio full of dreamers and doers, artists, designers, craftsmen, strategists, and innovators. We are where technology and art meet.  Our Experience Technology team is passionate about what we do, because getting each sensory element—sound, lighting, video and more—exactly right is critical to delivering the richest and most memorable audience experience. We have partnered on some diverse, fun, and creative projects – from the most loved museums within the US to lighting up the skies above The Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, we LOVE the work we do!  This position will be leading our Experience Technology team to new heights. Our team of specialists are all subject matter experts for multiple Audiovisual infrastructure ensuring our clients’ technology objectives are met.

We are really looking for someone who understands how comprehensive sound, lighting, and video solutions can be integrated to support client objectives. The ideal candidate enjoys working with clients from diverse industry sectors, handling multiple projects at once, excels at problem solving, and thrives in a deadline-driven environment.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Take the lead on setting our Experience Technology vision and strategy to find opportunities for us to grow business with a long-term perspective.

• Look at our market position to provide strategic counsel to the team and scale opportunities. Identify business development opportunities with new and existing clients.
• Provide operations-focused direction for our projects – looking at profitability metrics and collaborating with the team to identify ways for continuous process improvement and unlock ways to streamline processes while ensuring projects are completed on time, and within budget.
• Train, develop, and lead a high performing team of Project Managers, Design Engineers and Technicians towards their own personal growth along with overall team success.

• Believe deeply in the imperative to create a more diverse, equitable and inclusive industry and execute strategies that lead to being recognized role models for others in changing the face of the industry.

THE SKILLS YOU BRING

• You have at least 5+ years experience focused on AV-specific growth. Essentially, you are an expert in the AV industry!

• You are a great coach and leader with excellent communication skills, and you can see the big picture impact on small changes to influence decision-making.

• You are analytically driven and have a strong aptitude to translate metrics and data insights into measurable strategy. You’re also comfortable with managing P&L’s, budgets and project estimate projections.
• You are committed to your own growth and development and inspired to support the growth and development of your team members.
• You are nimble in the face of challenge and change, determined amidst complexity and ambiguity. You thrive at the edge of your comfort zone while keeping your destination in sight and working cross-functionally to deliver high quality results.

• You are a skilled project manager, capable of overseeing multiple complex projects simultaneously and estimating projections accurately.
• You are a structured thinker who persuades with integrity, an excellent communicator and presenter with the ability to synthesize complex stacks of information into clear and compelling messaging.
