Summary: Candidate must have technical knowledge and understanding of audio, video, and control systems and the ability to install and service such equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties to include, but not limited to installation of Audiovisual Systems for Theatres, Museums, Corporate, Higher Ed, Hospitality and House of Worship clients in accordance with company policy and project specifications.
Diagnose, repair, install and troubleshoot Audiovisual Systems including emergency services.
Duties may include rack building/testing, audio, video and control terminations, loudspeaker, video projector, flat panel and projection screen mounting and audio, video, and control testing.
Take ownership and responsibility of projects while being supported by an engineering and project management team.
Must present a neat appearance, pleasant personality, professional demeanor, and the ability to communicate professionally with clients, coworkers, and vendors.
Maintains appropriate communication with Project Managers and Installation Dept Manager/Supervisor to ensure efficient and timely production. This includes completing and submitting daily time bills, service reports and applicable expense reports.
Take direction and perform other related duties as assigned
Abide by OSHA safety standards at all times
Ability to trouble-shoot complex audio, video, and control systems
Q-Sys, Symetrix, Biamp and other DSP programming experience
Knowledge of low voltage AV presentation system installation practices and standards
Install and configure basic networking equipment, including a working knowledge of IP addressing schemes and operating practices
Knowledge of industry accepted grounding techniques, standards, and code requirements
Ability to read and effectively interpret design drawings and construction documentation
Working skills that include termination of standard industry connectors, proper wire dressing and routing and conduit installation practices
Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, and manufacturer specific applications)
Self-sufficient and self-motivated team player
Time management, reliability and honesty is expected
SMAART software proficiency a plus
CTS and other industry certifications a plus
Must be willing to perform overtime as required
Must be willing to travel overnight and out of town on weekends and possibly holidays
Valid driver’s license and DOT medical card
Strong organizational and communication skills
Willingness/ability to climb ladders and scaffolding if required
