Departmental Responsibilities
Acts as AV installation lead, including picking equipment from inventory, coordinating with technicians to complete the physical installation and commissioning of components.
Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams and install AV equipment per schematics.
General Responsibilities
Ensures operational integrity in the design, development, and implementation of systems in the classrooms/other learning environment for maximum availability and performance by monitoring queues, investigating, diagnosing and resolving moderately complex equipment failures.
Develops and implements preventive maintenance procedures; performs inventory control and oversees repair shop and work area.
Installs, tests and monitors applications software to maintain integrity and security and ensure compliance with departmental and industry standards.
Evaluates trends, collaborates on design, specification and acquisition and interacts with external vendors/installers on the implementation of hardware and control systems meeting classroom operational needs.
Researches and stays up-to-date on emerging digital media technologies and multimedia systems.

Provides operational support for various education technology systems and infrastructure, including participating in the specification, acquisition and implementation of hardware and software systems.
Ensures maximum availability and performance of various technology hardware, software, and systems, monitors incident reporting queues, investigates and resolves equipment failures, diagnoses operational problems.
Develops and implements preventive maintenance procedures and participates in life cycle replacement on technology equipment.
Installs, tests, and monitors applications software and hardware in computer systems.
Provides technical training and support to junior support staff, units and departments, maintains knowledge,and evaluates emerging technologies.
Performs inventory control and collaborates with outside vendors as appropriate.
