Media Technology and Events Specialist - Wentworth Institute of Technology

The Media Technology and Events Specialist provides faculty, staff, and students with the support necessary to use instructional technologies to enhance teaching and student learning. The position will play an important role in classroom assistance, live event setup, and general assistance on campus with conferencing and lecture capturing technologies during the days, evenings and weekends. Additionally, the position will contribute to the Technology Services team?s collaborative efforts to support faculty, staff, and students on the application of technology for teaching and learning activities. This position provides superior customer service in person, via telephone or email to all members of the Wentworth community. Required Qualifications:- Experience with analog soundboards, wired and wireless mic systems, projectors, and presentation software. - Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills - Ability to troubleshoot effectively in a fast-paced environment - Proficiency with both Mac and Windows operating systems - Experience with Audio Visual ecosystems; classrooms, theaters, conference rooms - Ability to work with a variety of users and expertise promoting a customer service oriented attitude - Ability to work independently and as part of a team with proven multi-tasking experiencePreferred Qualifications:- Experience with classroom technologies including projectors and Crestron control systems- Knowledge of both analog and digital audio consoles, video conference platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams), lecture capture devices, basic networking and server usage- Video production, including recording and editing Creative Cloud or Final Cut - Live streaming and hybrid events - Experience collaborating with departments and promoting technologies and services.
