| Title: Director, Global Industry Engagement FLSA Status: Exempt Job Status: Full-Time Supervisor: Vice President, Global Industry Engagement Location: Fairfax, VA or Remote in North America Department: Global Industry Engagement Level: Director Alt Work Eligibility: CWW-Y , Telework-Y, Remote-Y Travel: 60 % *This position can be remote* Summary of Position: We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Director, Global Industry Engagement to increase company revenue by developing high-level relationships with large and strategic AVIXA members, and creating, securing, and implementing profitable global engagement programs with them. AVIXA engagement programs deliver commercial business value to our members through a wide variety of platforms, marketing, content, market intelligence, and content programs to support their business. The responsibilities include targeting new client candidates, collaborating with them to identify their needs and business objectives, and creating customized service programs to support and grow their business through various sponsorship and content programs. You will be attending meetings with clients and advisors, discussing product roadmaps and client business plans, notifying partners of key business developments and conducting periodic business reviews in a high-touch account management model. You should also be able to assess business risks by analyzing financial, statistical, and economic data. Experience in the professional Audio/Video industry is strongly desired, including high-level experience with a manufacturer, distributor, or integration solution provider. To be successful as a Director, Global Industry Engagement, you should be persuasive and have strong business acumen. Ultimately, an exceptional Director, Global Industry Engagement, should be adept at negotiating sound business deals as well as demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Primary Responsibilities: - Building solid relationships with business leader level customers, vendors and distributors, as well as sales and marketing teams.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities.
- Working in a multi-dimensional matrix organization to develop and serve strategic accounts.
- Provide direct and indirect leadership to other sales team members.
- Directing marketing efforts by presenting market research to marketing directors and suggesting strategies to expand market reach.
- Leveraging sales automation resources including Salesforce to maintain shared accounts and sales pipeline and manage contracts and programs.
- Assessing marketing and sales as well as supplier and vendor operations and recommending improvements as needed.
- Preparing all documentation required for requests for proposals (RFPs).
- Researching emerging trends and recommending new company offerings to satisfy customers’ needs.
- Developing and managing strategic partnerships to grow business.
- Presenting business or marketing opportunities to company executives and management.
- Selecting automation software and software platforms that best meet company needs.

- At least 10 years combined experience in senior leadership roles
- Previous working experience as Senior or Key Account Manager for at least 8 years, delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
- Proven success in business development, sales, and marketing
- Professional AV industry experience and familiarity of channel and business structure
- Experience of managing major national accounts at head office level as well as experience managing high-performing sales professionals
- Highly proficient in using Salesforce, managing sales pipelines, sales forecasts, and accounts
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong and trustworthy relationships with important clients
- Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
