Title: Front-End Web Developer FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Supervisor: Director, Web Development Location: Fairfax, VA Level: Staff Department: IT Alt Work Eligibility: CWW, Telework Summary of Position: Working with the Web and Marketing teams, the Front-End Web Developer will collaborate on modifying and troubleshooting existing code for enhancing AVIXA’s websites. This includes working on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript within Sitefinity and Microsoft Visual Studio, in both back-end and front-end capacities. Major Duties & Responsibilities: - Develop front-end for web-based products using HTML, JavaScript and CSS
- Modify existing code within CMS and repository
- Enhance MVC templates
- Support the maintenance and updating for the back-end of websites

Education: BA in IT/CS related field preferred Experience Level: Minimum of 1 year experience Technical Skills: - Experience with a CMS (such as WordPress, Drupal, Sitefinity)
- Experience with Front-End Web Development (HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, BootStrap, AJAX)
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Basic understanding of web-delivered applications
- Familiarity with Responsive Web Design and Cross-Browser Compatibility
Other skills: - UI/UX experience
- Familiarity with C# and ASP.NET
- Experience working in an IDE
- Hands-on experience with version control tools
- Portfolio of web-related projects is a plus, but not necessary
