Title: Junior Event Manager Job Profile: Analyst, Internal/External Communication (Associated) Location: EMEA (UK preferred, primarily virtual) Grade: 9 (for Internal Purposes) Position Overview: As the Jr. Event Manager, you'll provide meeting and event expertise and support, working with EMEA (primary) and Global (secondary) S&P Ratings Event Marketing colleagues. Some interaction with Ratings Marketing colleagues and exposure to S&P Global Event Marketing teams. The Impact: S&P Ratings manages over 500 hosted event (currently virtual, eventually in-person or a mix of both), 3rd Party Events/Sponsorships and Webinars each year, varying in size from 30 - 600 people and scope of ½ day to three day meetings. You will work with Event Managers in building out technology, manage reporting and general event logistical support. Key Responsibilities: - Set up regional, and on occasion, global webinars (ON24) and provide post event summaries
- Track, manage events calendar, pipeline and budget tracker (Serena)
- Sourcing: Meetings/events/receptions with hoteliers, food service directors, restaurants, ground operators, décor & entertainment companies, promotional items, AV & Production companies.
- Create event registrations and emails (Cvent & Marketo) for distribution
- Pull attendee registration lists (SalesForce & Marketo) for invitations
- Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health and safety obligations
- Take charge, entrepreneurial, creative, proactive self-starter, tap into app & tech trends
- Meeting Specifications: Understanding of meeting logistics to include but not limited to communicating meeting needs to our vendors, registration and attendee tracking (Marketo & Cvent), on-site execution and creating on-site staff responsibilities, presentation and materials support, pre and post event evaluations, room set up and monitoring, food & beverage requirements, collecting Audio-Visual specifications, and ensuring successful execution.
Regional Focus - Support Event Managers in the EMEA region
- Responsible for EMEA related webinars (Rating Actions, Commentary etc) build and manage backend and on occasion, run the event
- Participate and coordinate as directed with external/internal parties for industry sponsorships
- Regular administrative duties for the event team (reporting on Serena and post event reports etc)

- One to three years of progressive experience in meeting/event planning that exhibits you can successfully manage the responsibilities listed above.
- Must be able to work effectively and collaboratively in a team oriented, global, and multi-cultural environment both virtually and in person.
- Experience working with sponsors and/or clients relationships and fulfillment helpful.
- Highly organized, has a high sense of urgency and is very customer service oriented.
- Travel, some overtime and weekend work may be required as needed.
- A good understanding of financial markets and business environment including implications to S&Ps analytical products and services is a plus.
Preferred - Bachelors/Associates degree preferred but not required.
