External Job Posting IT SUPPORT FULLTIME/PARTTIME: Fulltime TYPICAL HOURS WORKED: 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday*; overtime hours as needed. Occasional travel may be required for meetings. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Computer or Information Technology-related 2-year college degree preferred or a minimum of 4 years’ experience REPORTS TO: Systems Administrator JOB REQUIREMENTS: - Experience in a related field is required. Related college degree may replace job experience.
- Must be able to communicate effectively to exchange information with the membership and coworkers. Will work independently and in a team environment.
- Must have working knowledge of Windows 10, Server 2016 and beyond; Windows Updates Services preferred.
- Must have working knowledge of Apple products
- Must understand active directory, Microsoft Office, Adobe, Java, and have the ability to learn new applications.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: May perform any combination of the following (duties may include, but are not limited to): - Will provide technical support for PC’s, laptops, printers, and peripheral hardware for Surry-Yadkin EMC, including performing and verifying backups.
- Diagnose, install, troubleshoot, resolve issues with, and repair PC’s, laptops, and hardware/software.
- Perform support with Microsoft Office, network/Wi-Fi, security, GIS mapping, and E-mail.
- Will interact directly with internal customers and will require a professional and positive attitude.
- Assist users as needs arise, such as resetting passwords, MS & Excel troubleshooting, file uploads, light maintenance of printers, check and change printers and copiers to add paper and/or ink cartridges, perform computer resets, etc.
- Set up AV equipment for special projects and events.
- Maintain parts & supply inventory.
- Perform updates on PC’s, laptops, and servers.
WORK CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 25% of the time and frequently move around the office to assist office personnel with IT needs.
- Must be able to operate a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, or printer.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in order to exchange information accurately with membership and coworkers, both in the office and over the phone;
- Occasional moving of files and IT equipment up to 50 pounds.
