We are hiring for a Director for our Audio Visual/Technology division. This is hands on position, responsible for driving sales, generating profits at the targeted levels and providing overall direction and management to the operations.
This role is responsible for the seamless delivery of AV services to our clients, strategic planning, division P&L and overseeing the overall AV team. This role will also be accountable for the development, coordination, and effectiveness of our selling initiatives in the marketplace. Develops new business through prospecting, networking, cold calling, and servicing existing accounts. The Director, Audio Visual/Technology will establish a strong presence in the local business community, provide strategic direction, and possess creative problem solving skills.
Role & Responsibilities:
Experience leading, managing and developing a team within an Audio/Visual services environment. Must possess the ability to exceed the client’s goals and objectives.
Maximize revenue potential utilizing company sales strategies
Maintain positive employee relations
Hire, train, develop, and manage audio visual engineers and technicians.
Direct a business unit including business development, P&L responsibility and strategic planning.
Problem solve, troubleshoot and provide solutions for clients’ needs under high-pressure circumstances.
Foster a team environment by holding daily meetings, one-on-one meetings and nurturing the professional growth of the AV team.
Develop, evolve, compile and distribute metrics, reporting and business case analysis.
Identify continuous improvement processes for seamless customer service and delivery of AV support services.
Follow up on service challenges and take corrective action.
Provides customer presentations and tours.
Confidence in selling Audio/Visual integration solutions, video conferencing, telepresence, education technology, smart technology, hardware/software infrastructure and unified communications.
Remain current with changing technology trends; makes a business case to grow the AV portfolio
Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
This position has direct supervisory responsibilities over the AV team.
Travel to customer and vendor sites, along with networking events is required.
Education & Experience:
4 year college degree
5 years of recent management experience
5-7 years of work experience and working knowledge of Audio/Visual operations, specifically within the commercial AV integration area.
Must possess high levels of Audio/Visual integration technical knowledge and interpersonal skills, with the ability to hire, and oversee the entire AV division team.
Experience with strategic planning, business development and successful leadership skills.
Advanced knowledge of integrated Audio/Visual systems in commercial, government, medical and educational environments.
Highly disciplined and consistent in the enforcement of sales and operational guidelines/procedures.
High ethical standards, creative problem-solving skills, and exercises good business judgment.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Clean driving record and auto insurance with bodily injury liability limit of $100,000/300,000
Membership & participation in Audio/Visual professional organizations, such as InfoComm, preferred
Audio/Visual Industry Certification such as InfoComm CTS, preferred
