We are seeking a hardworking AV Support Specialist to join our team and lead in delivering consistent, high-quality AV/VC experiences. Audio Video (AV) technology is essential to the Silicon Valley mission to educate the technology leaders of tomorrow. Using modern videoconferencing (VC) solutions, classrooms in Silicon Valley, Pittsburgh, and elsewhere are connected together to deliver and receive instruction. Our students, faculty and staff make extensive use of VC for classes, meeting, talks, and events.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing audio-video/technical support on campus. Your primary emphasis will be upon integrated video and audio conference systems, smart classroom technology, and program delivery. You will provide equipment diagnostics, testing, set-up, operation and maintenance, and oversight to ensure daily connectivity of video conference and classroom technologies and coordinate the scheduling of equipment.
Core responsibilities include:
Addressing and resolving VC issues, working in conjunction with Pittsburgh and others
Determining class and event AV/VC needs and coordinating support
Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing AV systems and components, including: cables, cameras, microphones, speakers, displays, controllers, audio processors, codecs
Providing hands-on AV and VC support for classroom instruction and events
Researching and developing AV solutions in collaboration with team members and others
Setting-up, testing, diagnosing, and maintaining all AV equipment for smooth daily operation
Soliciting and providing feedback on processes and technologies for continuously improving the overall experience
At least 3 years experience in AV/VC support and equipment operation;
AV/IT certifications valued

You should demonstrate:
Strong customer service orientation
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in plain language
Ability to perform well under occasional fast paced situations;
Technical knowledge of and experience with AV equipment from multiple vendors, such as ClearOne, Crestron, Extron, Shure, Vaddio
Ability to comfortably setting up and using AV software
Good technical troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability work independently or as part of a team
