Senior Associates perform highly complex professional work in technology-related disciplines. While areas of specialization vary, typically I.T. They have wide latitude for independent initiative and judgment and may serve in lead roles on complex programs or projects, and/or serve as a direct supervisor of a unit or group. I.T. Leading CUNY in funded research, CCNY hosts a number of research centers including two new advanced research centers. CCNY's Office of Information Technology (OIT) is a vital component of the college's operation responsible for software applications, hardware support, telecommunications, media services, network infrastructure, instructional technologies and information security. The OIT is committed to collaborating with the college community to provide excellent information technology products and services. Under the general supervision of the Chief Information Officer and/or Deputy CIO, exercising independent initiative and judgment, the Director of Academic Technology Services will be responsible for providing leadership and overseeing the management, design, implementation and operations of the academic technology services for the OIT. The Academic Technology Director will serve as a lead for the management of day-to-day operations of audio visual services, classroom and conference technology architecture and design, including the OIT equipment loaner program, digital signage, and video conferencing solutions. The candidate will be accountable for retaining and recruiting the best personnel under his/her supervision, including writing job descriptions, interviewing candidates, and making hiring decisions and recommendations. Supervision includes developing performance plans and standards, and evaluating employee performance; when appropriate recommending professional development and promotions and administering corrective actions and/or disciplinary action; responding to informal grievances; assessing training needs and securing training resources; determining work schedules and work assignments; managing leave requests; and maintaining a positive work environment. COMPENSATION $ 109,560 BENEFITS CUNY offers a comprehensive benefits package to employees and eligible dependents based on job title and classification. Employees are also offered pension and Tax-Deferred Savings Plans. Part-time employees must meet a weekly or semester work hour criteria to be eligible for health benefits. Health benefits are also extended to retirees who meet the eligibility criteria.
