Job Description Summary
Under limited supervision from the Associate Director for Enterprise Technology and Project Management, the Project Manager will coordinate the planning and execution of projects, and the delivery of services for Penn Medicine AV Technology Projects for internal and external locations. Work will include supervisory responsibility pertaining to training of Lead Technicians. Support of multimedia services for Space Planning and Operations pertaining to the Penn Medicine enterprise level sonic foundry Mediasite streaming and video on demand solution for internal and external locations, Penn Medicine enterprise level digital signage solution for internal and external locations., Classroom Web Control Technologies, MTP Multimedia Project Management Software, MTP Equipment Inventory Services Technology. Management and Support of two private internal networks, fiber and Ethernet, used for cascading and broadcasting Rich Media content. Design Technical production layouts for events that require high level of multimedia services. Assist the Associate Director for Enterprise Technology and Project Management in planning and designing of new Multimedia consultations and proposals for new Multimedia integrations in all Penn Medicine locations. This position is considered âœessential.â
Bachelorâ™s Degree and 2 to 3 years relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
Must understand meeting the service needs of academic and administrative technology users in a higher education, research and clinical environments across Penn Medicine
Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
5 to 7 years relevant work experience preferred
AVXIA CTS Certified Technology Specialist Certification for a minimum of 3 years
5 years of Technology Project Management Experience
Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and peers and superiors throughout the School and University
Understanding of basic core network infrastructure standards and requirements utilized by complex AV systems and devices
Understanding of basic concepts and deployments of digital signage infrastructure and media streaming protocols and bandwidth requirements
Understanding of SM and MM Fiber Optic infrastructure usage and deployment requirements for AV system signal transmissions
