Summary of Position: Serve as AVIXA’s primary sales representative in Asia serving members and the industry at large, focusing on the sales of membership, education and certification within our primary markets in ASIA and assist the Regional Director with delivery of programs that serve the membership.
This position is available to be located in Singapore, Malaysia or the Philippines and is NOT eligible for employment sponsorship or relocation.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Sell AVIXA membership in Asia in accordance with AVIXA’s policies, meeting revenue and membership growth goals.
Promote AVIXA online educational offerings to drive premium and elite seat allocation to targeted levels by proactively making personal and web-based calls and demonstrating the courses to AVIXA Members.
Sell AVIXA onsite educational offerings and certifications meeting class revenue and certification growth goals.
Promote Attendance at Free AVIXA Member Events to appropriate AVIXA Members attaining budgeted attendance numbers.
Work with the Regional Director - Asia and the Regional Programs Coordinator - Asia to support the delivery of AVIXA Onsite Classes and AVIXA Networking events.
Under the direction of the Regional Director – Asia, support the delivery of outreach events as per the Business Plan in Asia
Encourage participation by members in programs and maintain communication with the existing member base.
Work in support of InfoComm South East Asia our local exhibition interest in the region.
Work with the Regional Director – Asia to develop annual and programmatic budgets in a timely manner.
Document all sales and member contact activity within company owned CRM database.
Keep informed on new developments in the audiovisual industry.
Other duties may be assigned.

Tertiary Qualifications in a related business or engineering discipline is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Outbound Sales and Account Management is essential. Audio Visual technical knowledge is not a starting requirement of this position as this is a commercial role.
Other Skills / Requirements:
Communication: Must be able to fluently communicate both verbally and in writing using the English language. Other Asian Languages such as Cantonese, Thai, Vietnamese, Malay would be beneficial. Sales, communication and presentation skills are essential.
Travel: Ability to travel both regionally and internationally is mandatory for this position. Travel within Asia is estimated to take place in 18 - 20 weeks of each year. Average nights away in any of these weeks would be 2-3. Other International travel of 1-2 weeks each year is possible.
Computer Literacy: Must be comfortable with Windows based computing with well-developed skills in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Should have experience with connecting a computer to the Internet from remote locations. The Account Manager will be expected to build competency in using AVIXA’s primary customer management tool.

The individual must be capable of traveling by air. Additionally, the individual must be able to setup up basic presentation equipment and give a successful presentation in a variety of venues.
