Responsible for assisting members and potential members in the US and Canada with membership onboarding, membership renewals, new certification applications and renewals, membership roster updates, and online education sales. The team also handles calls for the annual US tradeshow that includes registration, class/course information, schedule of events and Certification testing.
Works within the customer service team to achieve member satisfaction, revenue generation, and longterm account goals in line with association vision and values.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Each representative has a dedicated territory they represent (not including non-member customers)
Assist customers with system login issues (i.e. AVIXA dashboard, NetExam, webinars, virtual classes)
Assist customers with account issues/updates (i.e. changing contact information, employer)
Assist customers by merging records, updating demographics and contact preferences
Assist customers with training track recommendations (i.e. helping them select continuing education classes or webinars, helping them take the classes they need to prep for their CTS,
CTS-D, CTS-I exams, helping them with suggestions for RU classes to renew their certification)
Assist customers with registering for classes online/classroom/virtual
Walk customers through the certification process from start to finish
Assisting customers with the certification applications and retests
Assisting customers with the certification renewal application
Proactively manage membership monthly renewals
Reach out to expiring certification holders to help them renew
Update/add demographic information to customer accounts
Assist onboarding new members joining AVIXA
Assist the sales team in generating leads for membership upgrades
Assist the sales team in discovering contract and or license training opportunities
Assist customers with general US InfoComm show registrations
Call members about regional events to promote attendance
Assist members with AVEC registration/ general questions
Assist members with questions about additional member benefits (i.e. career site, directory)
Works with the various departments to ensure customer needs are met
Ability to attend and work AVIXA booth at various local/ regional events
Ability to engage and interact with a varied of communication styles to assist members or potential members to learn more about AVIXA and its benefits at in person events Additional duties as assigned

Education: Bachelor’s degree and 3 years customer service/ sales experience or 5 years equivalent experience in customer service/ sales.
Experience Level: This ideal candidate would have 3-5 years of customer service/account management/sales experience. Individuals with tech or service experience in the Audio/Video field would be very valuable. Experience with systems such as CRM, Outlook, Word and Excel programs.
Certifications: Certifications such as a CTS (CTS-I/CTS-D) would be very beneficial. Knowledge of the program and its function is strongly suggested.
Technical Skills: Basic to advanced Sales Force and/or Audio/Video knowledge is helpful, but not required
Other skills: Willingness to travel occasionally for regional events and the annual tradeshow
