The Senior Audio Visual Specialist, under general supervision, Provides technical support that ensures the proper operation, maintenance, monitoring, testing and repair of complex networked AV equipment and control systems. Oversees the delivery and troubleshooting of educational, conferencing and general event content. Supervises audio visual staff and students and trains end users and support staff on the use of equipment. Responsibilities:
Provides technical support that ensures the proper operation, maintenance, monitoring, testing and repair of complex networked AV equipment and control systems.
Oversees the delivery and troubleshooting of educational, conferencing and general event content.
Supervises audio visual staff and students.
Train end users and support staff on the use of equipment.
Coordinates activities of schedulers and technicians to ensure proper setups for university events such as conferences, seminars and general classroom AV needs.
Develops, documents, and reports current procedures and suggests areas of progress for the group.
Communicates with the primary users of the conference rooms, auditoriums and classrooms.
Researches, identifies, implements, and maintains new AV technology and software.
Interfaces with other departments and external entities to meet client requirements.
Maintain inventory of equipment such as projector lamps, class room presenters, microphones, chargers, batteries, cables and adapters.
Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor?s degree in applicable field
Four years of related experience in audio/video communications, presentation technologies, and system troubleshooting.

Knowledge of video conferencing systems.
Knowledge of audio/video equipment and controls, related networks, and computer applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Ability to lift moderately heavy objects.
