This is a technical position, one that teaches end users, consultants, and AV integrators design and performance attributes of our product lines and technology, in a pre-sale capacity. The goal is to add engineering, design and training to the market alongside our Regional Sales Managers.....and ensure the client specifies the right solution for their project and are certain of achieving the performance they expect. The Field Sales Engineer also provides training and coaching to the design and installation teams at AV integrators and consultants/design companies, with the aim of completing projects more effectively and profitably.
Symco specializes in Best-In-Category solutions including Biamp, Utelogy, Marshall, FSR, Lightware, Media Vision, Panacast/Jabra and ScreenBeam.
The Field Sales Engineer will take a leadership role through the technology evaluation process with major projects and key clients, remaining available to assist during the development of system design.
Candidates must reside in the Mid-Atlantic or New England regions..
The successful candidate will possess the following combination of experience, knowledge and skills:
Comprehensive general technical audio and video knowledge.
Extensive computer networking design and support experience (preference in audio video networking), with CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, ENS, CompTIA or other relevant IT industry qualifications a big plus.
Experience interfacing with distributors, system integrators, consultants, and end-users in the professional audio-visual industry.
Strong technical presentation skills, and the ability to address a wide range of business and technical people, from company presidents to non-technical staff.
Good computer literacy skills, including working knowledge of the MS Office suite and CAD programs.
Ability to build long-term relationships with customers.
Ability to work as part of a team, and strong self-motivation to enable efficient work in a location remote from the company’s headquarters.
Telecommuting is allowed.
