About the Opportunity: Assists with the day-to-day IT & AV based operation of the College of Arts, Media and Design (CAMD). Sets up, repairs, moves, maintains and retires computers, peripherals, printers, and AV equipment. Be aware of issues related to operating systems, software, and security that might impact users. Maintain and migrate data for users if needed. Be able to answer questions about anything related to computer software or hardware.
This position may occasionally be required to work outside regular working hours as needed for maintenance or equipment replacements and installations. Perform other projects/duties as needed.
Install computer software and hardware in college facilities as directed.
Printer supply management: Regularly check ink/toner, paper levels, refill as needed and report to IT/AV manager if reorder is needed.
Check labs for cleanliness and functionality, and report relevant issues to facilities (light bulbs, power, HVAC, etc.) or to IT/AV manager as appropriate.
Assist in tracking inventory of college computers, printers, and AV equipment
Move & organize computer equipment as needed. The ability to lift 50 lbs. is a necessity.
This is a part-time, 20 hour per week position.
