Experienced AV Technician Wanted:
We have immediate need for an AV technician to provide support for conference rooms in a large media firm. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working in the corporate office environment, supporting all levels of clients. Candidates for this position must be self-motivated, have great communication, organizational, and computer skills. The ideal candidate should have a great attitude, be dependable, personable and be able to fully understand up to date AV Technology. In addition to AV support, a large portion of the duties involve conference coordination administrative duties including; answering telephone calls and emails, booking reservations, coordinating meeting details, processing catering orders, and mapping room configurations.
Customer service experience along with the availability to work nights and weekends required.
Job Description & Requirements: • Setting up Laptop interface & PC presentation • Be familiar with Crestron integrated rooms and Polycom equipment • Client Interaction -- with a professional, can-do attitude • Coordination of AV & Catering reservations • Acts as technical support for Conference Center and other conference rooms • Troubleshoots equipment failures during client meetings • Provides management with client requests and incident reports • Set up and operation of AV equipment for daily conference center & off-floor events • Candidate must be extremely customer & detail oriented, dependable and be able to run large multi-day events. • Administrative duties including; scheduling conference rooms and coordination of details for each meeting/event including; AV, Catering , Room Configuration. • Job responsibilities include AV meeting support in a Corporate environment, PowerPoint setup, audio conferencing and videoconferencing setup, support, troubleshooting. • Monitor system functions and performance following specific procedures, camera control, video switcher, operations and direction, audio mixer operation including wireless mics. • Portable setups including video projectors. • Candidate must have 2 years minimum experience with AV/VTC equipment, and Polycom preferably. • Typing skills as well as MS office (Excel / Word) knowledge • Must have excellent phone, written and interpersonal team collaboration experience with an emphasis on customer retention and customer satisfaction • Job will be offered to the right candidate pending background check and drug screening results
