The Learning Spaces Technology (LST) group provides a wide variety of AV services to the Boulder campus including AV consultation, design/engineering, integration, commissioning/programming, and ongoing support for a large number of facilities, including over 250 technology-equipped computer labs, classrooms and lecture halls.
The LST AV Project Manager will oversee the implementation and execution of all AV projects in support of teaching and learning on the Boulder campus, ensuring that projects are completed on time, with optimal results, and within budget. Following prescribed procedures, the LST AV Project Manager will manage scope, resources, time, cost, risk, quality and communications for each project they manage. Our focus on responsiveness to the needs of our faculty requires flexibility in the management of each element of any given project. Our AV Project Manager will also constantly manage resources and risk within the bounds of current organizational constraints. Finally, in this role you will ensure a high level of customer service by supporting the organization's strategic goals, while constantly measuring processes and procedures to improve the overall profitability of operations.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Perform overall management of frequently concurrent AV/IT projects. Your responsibilities will include:
Develop detailed project schedules, timelines, resource requirements, and budget.
Coordinate efforts of project members to stay on schedule and accomplish defined objectives.
Produce regular status reports to include project milestone status, risks, issues and concerns, and recommendations for action.
Anticipate issues and proactively develop contingency plans.
Create and execute a communications plan to ensure project coordination with project sponsors, stakeholders, team members, constituents, service and support personnel and the Associate Director of Learning Spaces Technology group, and the LST Operations Manager.
Provide for continuous improvement by define problems, identify gaps in performance, gather data, determine solutions, implement improvements, measure results and ensure changes are sustained.
What We Require
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field. A combination of education and relevant experience as described below may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
2+ years of project management experience that includes a combination of the following:
Managing IT projects through their entire life cycle, including successful completion and closeout.
Managing multiple concurrent projects.
Staffing and managing project resources in a matrix organization.
Client and vendor management.
Risk Management and Issues Resolution.
Managing large scale design and build projects, with emphasis on AV project management experience.
What We Would Like You to Have
PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certifications.
Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or other AVIXIA AV related certifications.
ITIL Foundations v3/4 certification.
Experience with, or demonstrated understanding of, the distributed administrative nature of a large research university.
Experience managing information technology projects that produce enterprise class products and services.
Experience managing AV installation, renovation and upgrade projects.
Formal training in conflict resolution and/or root cause analysis.
Knowledge of and/or formal training in information and communications technology services or applications.
Additional Salary Information: Base salary for this position is market-driven, competitive and based on the alignment of your background and experience with the requirements of the position.
