The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) Department of Anesthesiology is seeking physician anesthesiologists for full-time academic faculty and clinician positions.
Tenure and non-tenure track positions are available . Academic rank at the time of appointment shall be commensurate with training and experience, and compensation is highly competitive.
The department is interested in applicants with fellowship training in: 1. Critical Care Medicine (CCM) 2. Regional Anesthesia (RA) 3. Chronic Pain Management (CP) 4. Obstetrical (OB) Anesthesia 5. Trauma anesthesia
Applicants with training in the foregoing areas are strongly encouraged to apply. Qualified generalists are also being sought.
The patient population includes a heavy caseload in ortho, trauma, and high-risk OB. Tenure and non-tenure track positions are available. Duties include direct patient care as well as teaching and supervision of nurse anesthetists and residents. Opportunities for clinical and basic science research are available and participation is encouraged.
Eligible candidates should be board certified or eligible for examination by the ABA and eligible for licensure in the State of Tennessee.
