CBRE- A global leader in facilities management is seeking to add a Meeting and Event Technician to its winning team.
This is a client-facing role with additional focus on back-end, infrastructure support of audio-visual equipment and systems. High customer service and basic a/v technical event experience are two essential components to this position. The M&E Technician engages clients and assists them setting the a/v for their meeting in a diversity of settings on company-based conference centers.
Candidates must have an ability to self-manage and work well with executives and administrators who often have little to no audio-visual experience. Ideal candidates will have experience supporting live events and meetings and have a basic to average proficiency in audio and video equipment and operation, and presentation software like PowerPoint and Keynote.
Performs other duties as assigned.
This role will have a rotating schedule between 2 shifts, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM and 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Minimum Job/Skill Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required and a minimum of 1 - 2 years related work experience.
Ability to work well under tight deadlines with swift response time.
Ability to stay focused multi-tasking priorities.
Arrive to shifts punctually in show attire, well-groomed and presentable.
Preferred Job/Skill Abilities:
2-3 Years A/V Technician experience working in a corporate environment.
Understanding A/V signal flow.
Knowledge of audio consoles and video racks.
Basic understanding of adjusting lighting and speaker placement.
Experience working with Mac and PCs.
Perform network, audio, and video cable repair as needed.
Skilled, calm and composed working in a client-facing role.
Non-disclosure agreement required.
Start date within 2-3 weeks of background check approval.
Ability to accomplish any task with minimal instruction or supervision.
Creative, resourceful, and flexible approach to solving problems.
Ability to operate quickly and independently.
Proficiency in standard business software & technology (Excel, One-Note, PowerPoint/Keynote, Outlook).

Position requires sitting or standing for long periods of time, climbing staircases, lifting up to 50 pounds, extensive use of a computer; and an ability to safely drive/operate a scissors lift.
