A Cochran Audio Visual (AV) Systems Estimator/Engineer interfaces with internal engineering, installation staff and customers at the job site. Candidate must be able to take AV systems from inception to completion, starting with customer needs analysis, pre-engineering/estimating, proposal writing and submission. These systems will include conference rooms that range from simple to multi-room systems, training rooms, board rooms, background music systems and huddle spaces.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The following are the duties associated with being a Cochran AV Systems Estimator/Engineer. Other duties may be assigned.
Ability to quickly learn and grasp new technologies.
Able to produce project documentation.
Understands technical control and networking protocols.
Understanding of TCP/IP network routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
Ability to read blue prints and schematics.
Knowledge of standard software for DSP set-up, switcher set-up.
Ability to design/develop an integrated AV system.
Assist in analysis of bid documents and participate in bid review.

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with Extron/Crestron/AMX control systems. Prefer three or more years working in the AV field. Basic understanding of integrated AV systems is preferred.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate to expert knowledge of Microsoft Word processing software, spreadsheet software and estimating software. Working knowledge of Bluebeam, Visio drawing and CAD a plus.
Certificates and Licenses
Prefer InfoComm CTS and Extron EAVA certified along with obtaining/maintaining up to date knowledge of manufacturer specific technologies.
