The Air Force Academy Athletics Corporation located in Colorado Springs, Colorado is hiring a Producer/Editor - Live Productions. This position will be part of the marketing department and play a leadership role in initiatives related to gameday production, video board content creation, and A/V technology. In addition, this position will assist with production of creative video content for digital media.
Development of in-venue video content from ideation to completion
Responsible for hiring and staffing of game day staff for in-venue show crews
Cross-department collaboration to develop a top-ranked in-venue production and fan experience
Responsible of accurate execution of sponsored content, MWC elements, and internal initiatives
Manage Daktronics video boards, control rooms, and A/V equipment
Effectively use Daktronics control systems, live video production equipment, and stats integration in the event production
During live events, produce/direct the show for the video board while communicating with the production crew and marketing producer
Direct and produce content for the video boards at football, volleyball, hockey, men’s/women’s basketball, and other events as needed
Creates intro videos, player features, sponsored content, highlight packages and more for use in-game and on social media
Ultimately responsible for all video, motion graphics, and still graphics used in-venue
Assist with directing and producing creative video content for the web, social media, and other platforms throughout the calendar year
Track best practices among other professional sports teams/leagues, content creators and influencers
Ensure consistency in brand guidelines and messaging related to content
Understand and adhere to a variety of department and Academy brand standards, NCAA and MWC compliance policies
Reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Fan Experience
Other duties as assigned
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and successfully pass a background check.
Random drug testing is required.
Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience
Specialized skills in non-linear computer video editing, video lighting and composition, camera operation, graphics design, audio recording, and video production
Proficiency in Windows systems and Adobe Creative Suite along with the ability to produce and create exciting audio-visual content are required
Must be able to work flexible hours, including frequent evenings and weekends
Experience with ENG style and DSLR filming and editing required
Knowledge of live production equipment including NewTek and Ross, and Daktronics production software strongly preferred
Experience producing high-quality video content for various outlets
Strong copy writing and editing skills
Strong time management skills, as well as understanding of video & creative project workflow
