This position will provide critical assistance in managing the delivery of media services within the McCormick School of Engineering. This team is responsible for the technical infrastructure of display monitors throughout the school, providing smart classroom and conference room support, as well as video recordings, media streaming, lecture capture, webinars, video and conferences for numerous McCormick events and conferences. This position will work closely with other McCormick IT staff and the Marketing department to continually plan and improve the media service experience for the school. This position will occasionally interface with NUIT and collaborate on classroom AV system builds and routine AV system maintenance.
Recommends application changes to address frequent support issues encountered by users.
Recommends infrastructure maintenance planning and changes.
Plans, schedules and coordinates with other technical groups to work through project deliverables, issue resolution or service fulfillment.
Monitors and maintains continuity with system licensing and maintenance agreements.
Drafts training documents and trains users on use of applications & systems.
Maintains systems within media infrastructure for optimal performance.
Works with customers to provide media related support across departments.
Supports troubleshooting/triage assistance to users in a courteous and professional manner.
Performs infrastructure upgrades including planning and scheduling, testing, and coordination
Performs infrastructure administration setup.
Coordinates with internal and external technical support personal to resolve internal reported issues.
Reviews and resolves service outages.
Other duties as assigned.
Successful completion of a full 2-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to an associate's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications: (Education and experience)
Demonstrated experience with conferencing technologies (H.323, SIP, Bluejeans, Adobe Connect, WebEx, Zoom, Skype, iChat and others).
Strong knowledge of analog and digital A/V systems integrations, Web conferencing, video conferencing and live stream.
Knowledge of AV systems and hardware components such as Crestron Touch Panels and Processors, Crestron HDBaseT TX/RX units, Tesira Biamps, Vaddio AV Bridges, Kramer switches, ATLONA switchers, DLP Projectors and signal flow diagrams.
Knowledge of FourWinds Display infrastructure and maintenance is preferred.
Knowledge of fiber optic technologies and fiber optic transmitters and receivers is preferred.
Knowledge of HD Video Matrix switches, AMX Switchers, RGB Spectrum switchers preferred.
Knowledge of Bogen DSP’s, Crown Amplifiers and Shure Mic/Reciever sets preferred.
Knowledge of Adobe Director, Flash, Action Script, Java Script a plus but not required.
Knowledge of Panopto recording infrastructure preferred.
Knowledge of YouTube streaming technology preferred.
Familiarity with various forms of distance collaboration tools, such as videoconferencing, desktop sharing, web conferencing, webinars, networking and conferencing standards, voice over IP, and streaming technologies.
Ability to effectively analyze VC (videoconference) and AV system problems under pressure is a requirement.
Strong experience with multi-media editing tools.
Experience with Flash and other common media formats.
High degree of experience and knowledge with videotaping cameras and other audio / visual equipment.
Experience with the proper video production setup for video recordings.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Experience with support of researchers and scientists a plus.
CTS or related certification
