We are currently seeking a Project Manager. This position involves working with the entire company to deliver functioning A/V systems for our exceptional clients.

General: o Plans and schedules engineering, installation, and subcontracting activities on all installation projects o Maintains current job plans, schedules and specifications o Works with engineering and sales department on design or scope issues and/or changes. Communicates changes to customer o Coordinates the procurement of materials, supplies and services and controls timely delivery to job site. o Oversees the project installation plan, manages the plan and prepares and implements job procedures o Determines, from review of various information, necessary changes in design, contract price, installation plan or other activity o Maintains construction schedule and coordinates task scheduling with other trades when needed o Selects and monitors the performance of installers and subcontractors o Keeps the team (sales, accounting, procurement, management, installers) informed of project progress o Maintains all records of job status, job changes and material flow and supervises the preparation and processing of weekly project status reports o May estimate or assist in estimating projects which the company is proposing o Develops a relationship with the decision maker and on-site representative of our customer o Routinely walks job site to ensure quality installation of projects o Works with other project managers to keep installation schedule up to date and accurate with job numbers o Provides monthly billing information to accounting o Ensures accurate time entries are submitted each day by installers and programmers. Accuracy checks include job number, date, number of hours and type of hour. o Devises a plan of action to remedy problems and implements plan; all to assure project profitability o Responsible for ensuring complete job folders are returned at the close of a project, including red-lined (as-built) drawings. o Job Closure: verify Project Certification is complete, project is handed back over to sales for training, and job completion email is sent to customer with information for service department. o Supervisory Duties: Supervises existing installers and subcontractors. May be asked to interview candidates. Plans, assigns and directs work. Coach and appraise performance. Reward and discipline employees as it relates to a project they are working on. Address complaints and resolve problems on job sites.
Training and development: o Studies literature and attends in house trainings to stay current with regards to products, processes and materials o Works toward development plan goals put in place by your manager
Minimum Qualifications: o PMI – PMP Certification desired, but not required o Avixa/InfoComm CTS certification desired, but not required o Two-year college degree and at least 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience in a similar position. o Has a strong knowledge of construction fundamentals o Has an understanding of job financial reports, and the ability to control costs in the handling of projects. o Prior scheduling experience o Strong Technical Aptitude; ability to Quickly learn new technologies, software programs and procedures o Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business communications and contracts. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure documents. o Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. o Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. o Ability to interpret a variety of instructions given in written, oral or schedule form. o Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form. o Fluent in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote), comfortable with frequent internet searches and research. o Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, and be available by phone during scheduled installation hours o Ability to drive personal vehicle for work purposes
Physical Demands: o While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to type; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand or walk for periods of time. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. o The office is clean, orderly, properly lighted and ventilated. Noise levels are considered low to moderate o Site work job conditions are similar to typical construction projects. Hard hats, safety vests and glasses and steel toed boots may be required on specific job sites.
