We are Australia’s leading theatre and acoustic consultants specialising in design and refurbishment of cultural and performing arts projects such as concert halls, opera houses, theatres, music education buildings, rehearsal studios, TV studios, galleries, museums and event spaces. We have large and small projects underway in Australia, Hong Kong, China, and New Zealand. Recent and current projects include the recently completed Alexander Theatre at Monash University, the Perth Optus Stadium, the New Zealand International Convention Centre and the Red Earth Arts Precinct. With offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, we are seeking a senior professional with extensive experience working in performing arts and events venues to join our team. Your role will be to consult with our clients on the design, preparation and documentation of Audio-visual and Theatre construction, installation and upgrade projects, from feasibility to completion. You will be expected to lead projects of your own, to provide advice and support to your colleagues with regard to your technical specialisation, and to assist in the business development of the organisation.
To be successful in this position, you will possess: • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Extensive senior experience in a performing arts, events, broadcast or AV environment • Specialist technical knowledge of audio and audio-visual systems • Passion for excellence in the design of presentation venues • Tertiary education in a relative field or equivalent additional experience Desirable attributes include: • Experience with electroacoustic simulation • Knowledge of architectural and construction project processes We invite applications from capable professional staff, with a minimum 5 years’ experience in theatre, TV, events or related industries, who are looking for a new opportunity in a progressive consultancy. This is a full time position, based in our Melbourne or Sydney offices, and some travel will be required.
