The successful candidate will be able to interface various types of Communication and presentation technology. Candidate will support the Audio Visual Manager in overseeing all aspects of the Audio Visual services within the Conference Services Department.
The AV Technician will ensure that all Audio Visual requirements requested by clients are met. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining positive customer relationships and ensuring timely responses to all inquiries for space or service needs.
Must have the ability to make immediate decisions in order to provide the client with an immediate solution without any downtime in client meetings Provide technical assistance for all meetings and customers that require these services for their events.
Demonstrate a motivation to learn about repairing equipment and new/upcoming technologies. Able to change data projectors lamps and cabling pieces associated with all the various integrated systems throughout the portfolio. Review operation of equipment with customer and ensure that the customer is comfortable with its operation. Offer assistance in operation of equipment and help solve problems if customer is unsure of requirements. Educate the staff and customers on the basics of all AV equipment in the facility.
Maintain metrics associated with room equipment inventory, room check inspections, preventative maintenance checks and repairs/replacements completed in conference rooms. Responsible for maintaining inventory on all AV supplies and submitting requests for purchases to the Audio Visual Manager. These supplies include: flip chart paper, lamps, batteries, etc. Assist team members with conference room set-ups, break downs and any other areas where they may need assistance in an effort towards total customer satisfaction. Responsible for keeping all the A/V storage rooms organized and well managed.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
Necessary Ingredients: A Bachelors Degree preferred but not necessary or minimum of 1 years work experience in a related position.
This is a hands on job requiring some technical skills. Ability to move conference room tables, chairs and lift 50 pounds as needed.
