Summary of Position: AVIXA is seeking a visual specialist that can create and design original video content for social and online consumption. As a part of AVIXA’s in-house video team, the Digital Media Specialist will work alongside the Digital Video Producer and film new material or edit existing footage, and would also work with internal clients with a variety of projects. A qualified candidate should have strong visual eye, possess a creative outside-of-the-box mindset, is motivated, and organized.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Work with the Producer through the stages of video production, including storyboarding, script development, video capture, and post-production
Create and edit in-house videos, including but not limited to brief social videos, b-roll packages, short interviews, and campaign videos
An understanding of photography, videography and production fundamentals, such as equipment, editing, color grading and lighting.
Ability to translate concepts into easy-to-understand visuals
Ability to visualize branded items and translate into motion graphics
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Collaborate with the creative team, as well as internal clients, to brainstorm ideas and ensure project completion
Apply photography skills to occasionally shoot and edit still photos
Help maintain AVIXA’s photo and video asset bank
Keep on top of relevant innovations in creative campaigns, videos and marketing
Perform other relevant duties as assigned

Bachelor’s Degree in broadcasting, marketing, communications, or equivalent
3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Prior experience shooting and editing digital content
Provide an online portfolio or samples at the time of interview
Proficient in MS Office
Advanced working knowledge of Adobe CS – Photoshop , Illustrator, Premiere and After Effects
Working knowledge of Final Cut Pro X and Motion (or equivalent)
Advanced knowledge of camera operation and techniques
Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Ability to present, manage and prioritize projects
Excellent communication, planning, time management and follow-through skills
