Deliver training consistent with Industry-approved best practice to AV industry and allied professionals. Develop and update curriculum as required.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Deliver existing training programs as scheduled by the AVIXA Learning department.
Use instructor guides for the consistent delivery of AVIXA Learning core courses.
Review existing AVIXA Learning curriculum and collaborate with training development staff to change and update curriculum as needed.
Develop new training courses as needed.
Deliver conference presentations to industry groups in conjunction with AVIXA members.
Study and develop skills to continually improve teaching and training methods. Keep informed on new developments, methods, and techniques in the audiovisual industry.

Must have a background in the audiovisual industry with at least 12 years of experience in the areas of installation, design and project management.
Must have been involved in the delivery of training of the technical skills related to the above-mentioned industry disciplines.
General and specialized CTS designations are preferred for hire and required after a determined time period from hire.
Must have strong written and oral communication skills with an emphasis on presentation skills.

The individual must be able to assist in the setup of the audiovisual equipment required to teach the courses.
The individual must be able to travel by air domestically and internationally as required.
The individual must be able to operate a computer including typing and graphics development.
The individual must be capable of delivering 8-hour long training programs for multiple consecutive days.
The individual must be able to work in a home office environment and work to develop systems to successfully communicate and collaborate with individuals in other locations.
The individual must be able to successfully deliver training in a variety of venues.
Approximately 30% of the job time will be spent traveling.
