Advanced Technology Specialist
The George Mason University College of Education and Human Development invites applicants for the position of Advanced Technology Specialist.

The position is designed to support the college and its technology needs across a wide variety of technical platforms and methodologies. The scope of work includes the following responsibilities:
Support all CEHD classrooms and computer labs, including imaging and computer related peripherals
Install and maintain faculty, staff, and student devices to include computers, phones, tablets and printers
Provide virus remediation, backup and recovery on all devices as needed
Setup videoconferencing and web conferencing as needed in CEHD conference rooms
Respond to calls for technical assistance on and off campus
Manage inventory and replace obsolete equipment as needed
Communicate with vendors when technology issues cannot be resolved locally
Determine equipment and software requirements for activities/events
Ensure network security protocols are followed
Demonstrated experience with A/V automation equipment (Crestron, Control4, Savant, etc)
Experience supporting a multi-user organization
Ability to multi-task
Experience with an imaging platform (SCCM/WDS, FOG, etc)
Familiarity with H.323/SIP video equipment (Tanberg, Polycom, Cisco, etc)
Deep troubleshooting expertise
Familiarity with virtual infrastructure (Hyper-V, ESXi, etc)
Significant demonstrated user support experience
Able to prioritize tasks and detail focused
A+ or higher certification; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in Higher Education
Familiar with Linux basics
Familiar with windows server administration (SCCM/AD)
Experience with enterprise backup systems (Veeam, Unitrends, etc)
Experience with lab management software (DSC, Faronics, etc)
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
