The UK Program Coordinator will serve as AVIXA’s primary customer service contact and administrative support for United Kingdom and Ireland Operations. Working from their home office like other UK staff, the Coordinator will assist customers by telephone, email or web-conferencing.
Major Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide customer service support by telephone and email to customers and potential customers within the region.
Provide general administrative support to the UK team.
Provide support for regional events and programs by making telephone calls, preparing materials for guests, sending informative emails.
Be part of the team representing AVIXA at tradeshow booths and other events in or out of the region as assigned.
Provide ongoing feedback to the team regarding industry market information, member needs and other issues relevant to the region that the Program Coordinator discovers while performing their duties.
Work with AVIXA’s Association Management System (CRM) to create, update and verify membership records in a systematic manner.
Prepare and send invoices as required for activities within the region.
Promote AVIXA educational and certification participation to members and non-members during normal business activities.
Work with supervisor to develop annual and programmatic budgets in a timely manner.
Enter and respond to data in Basecamp as needed for tracking events, shows and conferences
Assist Program Manager to provide inputs to marketing team as needed
Provide/track data for timely inputs to International calendar
Provide reports on activities as requested
Provide timely feedback and suggestions for improvement on operational issues
Study, develop and continually improve related job skills.
Favorably represent AVIXA to the membership and the broader audiovisual community.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in customer service related field is required.
No certifications are required for this position.
Must have well developed skills in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Should have experience with connecting a computer to the Internet from remote locations. Familiarity with BaseCamp or other project management software a plus.
Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in English (both written and oral). Must be aware of and sensitive to the various language and cultural variables globally and how this might affect the efforts of AVIXA.
The coordinator must be a highly organized self-starter, requiring little direct supervision.
The individual must be capable of traveling by air for extended periods of time. Travel could consume up to 10% of a typical year. The individual must feel comfortable dealing with international travel, currency exchange and navigation in multiple countries.
