The Data Visualization Analyst will perform analysis of various data sources within AVIXA to derive insights through creative visualizations and writing. This requires both a strong familiarity with data and statistics as well as a creative eye for report design and layout – the perfect match of right and left brain activity. Qualified individuals will have experience working with a variety of data visualization and analysis toolsets, including (but not limited to) – Tableau, Clik or PowerBI, SPSS, R/Python, SAS, SQL and the Microsoft Office Suite. Strong written and verbal communications skills are also desired, as well as a basic innate curiosity and questioning nature.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Creation of written and visual data reports and analysis
Creation of quick visual representations of data for web or print
Dashboard design, construction, and management
Preparation of Powerpoint decks
Presentation of results to internal/ external audiences
Some statistical analysis, ranging from basic descriptives to correlations and regressions
Demonstrated data visualization and design skills through provision of a portfolio of examples
Strong foundation in data analysis or statistics
Strong familiarity with market research methodologies and data collection techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (writing sample required)
A passion for visual story telling
Bachelors degree in business, economics, statistics/mathematics, or design.
3-5 years of market research, business analysis or financial analysis
2-3 years of dashboard design and build work using Tableau, Clik, PowerBI, or other
Expert level Microsoft Office
Proficiency with SPSS, R, Python, SAS or other data analysis toolset
Familiarity with relational data architecture and querying via SQL Server or other platform
Proficiency with Tableau, PowerBI, or other data visualization toolset
