A Systems Designer creates custom solutions for our customer developing high quality audio visual and associated control systems designs. Systems Designer will be responsible for audio-visual systems design on a range of projects, which may include:
AV Presentation Systems
Speech Privacy / Sound Masking
Video & Audio “Capture”
Room Scheduling Systems
This role requires knowledge and experience in construction, acoustics, and control systems typically found in AV installations.
Development of designs that meet customer’s functional and budgetary requirements.
Generation of video, audio, control, LAN and communications system designs, including preparation of AutoCAD drawings and documentation.
Specification of audio video equipment.
Equipment and technology research and coordination with vendors.
Development of room plans, cabinet layouts, equipment rack elevations, etc.
Provision of construction administration support, including submittal and shop drawing reviews and site visits.
S, A.S. in Electronic Technologies or a related field. Equivalent experience and/or military training.
Proven experience in the use of Computer Aided Design (AutoCAD).Minimum two years of AV infrastructure experience.
Familiarity with AMX, Crestron and Extron control systems.
Familiarity with Audio Visual equipment manufactured by Cisco, Extron, Biamp, ClearOne, etc.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings (architectural, mechanical, and electrical systems) and related documentation.
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to manage strict timelines with multiple design projects in order to meet deadlines.
Ability to interact with clients, architects, engineers and contractors.
Professional certifications (CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, CEDIA) are a plus.
Experience with IT infrastructure and/or security system design is a plus.
Knowledge of REVIT a plus
