Consult with clients to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current as-is workflows and identify and document issues with current solutions, as well as the root causes to those issues. Lead project planning and tracking, including scope management, resource management, cost management, risk management, and client management, including communications throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, the candidate will have demonstrated experience in Network Infrastructure, Telephony, or audio visual systems or have a demonstrated successful track record in maintaining and expanding new client relationships and managing multiple high profile projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibility includes management of the project portfolio, system integration, estimation and RFP submittals, internal communications and business analysis tasks such as facilitating requirements gathering, documenting the problem(s) to be solved, developing functional specifications and ensuring the solution(s) meet the client requirements.
Provides primary technical assessment, analysis, and recommendations related to new or under-renovation educational and healthcare facilities, infrastructure and low voltage systems (Voice, Data, Video, AV, Wireless, Security, etc.)
This position performs design and construction oversight of information and communications technology for both new construction and renovations.
Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems.
Provide recommendations to management regarding solutions to potential project risks and issues as related to project requirements
Maintains close interaction with clients and industry representatives to formulate item and system recommendations
Develops and/or provides documentation on new or existing systems within the facility.
Develops and directs tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.
Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers.
Serves as liaison with clients, participating in (and/or) running meetings to ensure client needs are met.
Serves as liaison between vendors and client.
Maintains ongoing relationships with owners, architects and construction managers by understanding client's wants and needs and providing high quality services.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
Advanced knowledge of systems engineering principles, methods, and techniques.
Knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment required for systems design.
Preparation of construction drawings and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD
Proactively involved with project schedules and deadlines to ensure they are realistic and attainable.
Works closely with internal teams from initial design and pricing proposals through project completion
Experience designing the following systems:
Public Address, Intercom
Classroom Video and Sound Reinforcement
Access Control/Intrusion Detection
Coordinate with manufactures and vendors on new and existing products.
Qualify equipment and software required for custom integration solutions.
Serves as a technical consultant concerning facilities planning and design.
Prepare construction cost estimates
Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) / Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certifications or the ability to obtain within 2 years.
5+ years information and communication design experience with exposure to facility design is required
RTPM, CTS-D desired.
Outgoing personality with the intuitive ability to market and sell Dynamix Technology services.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings (architectural, mechanical, and electrical systems) and related documentation.
Must have excellent communication, organization and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal consultative skills including experience presenting to engineers and architects as well as C-level clients.
Ability to maintain existing relationships and build new relationships with clients
Ability to interact with clients, management and field personnel
Knowledge of building codes and telecommunication standards
Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD and MS Office software
Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects and strict deadlines
Possess minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably within network infrastructure/telephony/audio visual industries.
Strong listening, facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to execute and drive project of varying complexities and duration to successful completion.
Occasional travel required – Overnight travel is possible but rare
