Advance Concepts (ACI), located outside of Washington DC, is in search of a motivated, customer-focused and technically skilled individual for a full time position. This position will be active in producing and managing the technical elements of live event production. Candidate should have thorough understanding of current AV technology and operation of audio and video equipment for live events. This position offers growth potential for anyone willing to take initiative, expand their knowledge and collaborate with a fine tuned production team.
Most ACI’s projects involve:
Blended Screen Projection
Medical Broadcasting via Satellite, Fiber & IPTV
In- house creative
Mobile app and event software development
Manage technical elements of live staging events (crew, gear, vendors, venue, transportation)
Supervise, manage and train on-site technicians and crew members
Experience in managing and maintaining AV equipment inventory, recommend purchases
Lead team to conduct preventative maintenance and equipment checks as needed in advance of events.
This is a full-time, exempt position. ACI offers a competitive compensation packages: salary is commensurate with experience. Benefits include medical, three weeks accrued Paid Time Off (PTO), paid holidays, and 401(k) with company contribution. Relocation package available to right candidate.
Have ongoing operational knowledge of audio/video signal flow and design
Experience as an operating technician, as well as planning and execution of live audiovisual special events
Strong coordinating and communication skills
Able to navigate and communicate well with a variety of technical and management personnel.
Ability to travel
Strong Customer service experience
Enthusiastic with strong technical background, willingness to learn
Not afraid of working long hours (12-16 hours) on event days.
Qualifications - Education and Experience
Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in the Audiovisual or technical field, with experience in a conference center or meeting support environment
College degree or similar technical trade school
Proficient in the Microsoft Office product suite. AutoCAD is a big plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be a US Citizen and able to pass an extensive criminal and credit background check
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Additional Salary Information: $2,000 Signing bonus available for limited time
